Every number on this site has a definition. Where a figure could be read two ways, this page picks one and states it.
A manufacturer is a company holding an active US drug master file or a valid EDQM certificate of suitability for that molecule. A company that merely offers to sell the molecule is not counted. This is why our manufacturer counts are lower than the supplier lists you will find elsewhere: those lists include traders, agents and distributors.
A US DMF is counted when its status is active in the FDA's published list. A CEP is counted when its status is valid in the EDQM database. Withdrawn, suspended and expired credentials are not counted, and they do not appear on the page.
Price figures are customs export unit values, expressed in US dollars per kilogram. We publish the twenty-fifth percentile, the median and the seventy-fifth percentile, together with the number of exporters the band is drawn from. These are export values. They are not contract prices for regulated-market grade material, which are higher. A year marked as year to date is incomplete and should not be compared directly with a full year.
Plants come from FDA establishment registration, and carry the FDA establishment identifier where one exists. Inspection outcomes come from the FDA's published inspection classifications. Where a company profile shows a verification block, the counts in it were reconciled against the raw regulator files on the date shown, and anything that could not be confirmed was removed from the page rather than displayed unbacked.
The same company frequently appears several times across regulators under slightly different legal names. We merge those records, and each profile states how many records were merged. This means a profile may show more filings than any single regulator's record for that name.
Export values are aggregates over a company year. We never publish who is shipping to whom, and no single shipment or named counterparty appears anywhere on this site or in a supplier map.
Revenue is shown in US dollars. Where a company reports in another currency, the figure is converted and the page says so.
These pages are built from a pinned warehouse snapshot dated 9 July 2026, exported on 24 July 2026. The site currently publishes 305 molecule pages and 1,710 supplier profiles, drawn from 605,422 indexed companies and 1,623,651 regulatory filings across 203 countries. Counts are recomputed on every build.
